SOCIAL COMMUNICATION---
Pragmatic language refers to how language is used in social situations. Social Stories can be used to teach specific skills directly. Our Social Communication page has social stories to help reinforce Social Skills. We have also included some links to great websites with many different social stories.
Fluency-
Stuttering is when the flow of speech is broken by sound, word or phrase repetitions. Approximately 5% of children stutter at some time. It is important to avoid critism. Express praise and encouragement whenever possible and create a non-stressful speaking environment. Allow the child to finish words and sentences without interruption.
